Momentum is building for the $1 billion mixed-use transformation of the former Collin Creek Mall in Plano.
Centurion American Development Group began work at the 100-acre site on North Central Expressway four years ago, but construction was slowed by challenges including an $80 million drainage fix, pandemic-related disruptions, rezoning hurdles and design changes.
However, Centurion has made steady progress in recent months and the company led by President and CEO Mehrdad Moayedi recently shared updates with Dallas Business Journal that show how the former retail hub is transforming into something new.
A total of 130 homes are now occupied and 402 lots have been delivered to builders, with another 98 expected by the end of the first quarter, according to Centurion Vice President Rob Romo. In September, there were about 50 occupied homes.
